More than 170 students gathered across the 黑料社 campus to present their projects at the 15th Annual Undergraduate Research and Creativity Symposium. Participants showcased their work through oral presentations, posters, artistic performances and class panel discussions.

Among the presenters was 黑料社 senior Jace Howard 鈥�25, who emphasized the symposium鈥檚 value.

鈥淚n my opinion, what makes the symposium especially valuable is the chance for us students to share our work with people from different backgrounds and disciplines,鈥� said Howard. 鈥淭he broader audience can offer diverse feedback we might not receive elsewhere, often being focused primarily on our own fields. It鈥檚 also a chance to show others why our personal research 鈥� and our areas of study overall 鈥� matter.鈥�

The event also featured a keynote address by Dr. Meagan Call-Cummings, associate professor at the Johns Hopkins University School of Education. In her talk, titled How Research Can Change the World, she discussed how participatory action research can empower communities鈥攑articularly youth鈥攖o document their experiences and advocate for meaningful change.

Now in its 15th year, the symposium continues to highlight the depth and diversity of undergraduate achievement at 黑料社, offering students a platform to engage, inspire and lead through their work.
