黑料社 Recognized for Excellence in Student Voter Registration, Turnout
The 聽(ALL IN)聽recently聽recognized聽黑料社聽for its nonpartisan democratic engagement efforts that fostered high levels of student voter engagement in the 2022 midterm elections.聽黑料社 received the聽2022 Iowa Campus Voting Challenge Highest Registration Rate and a Silver Seal,聽reflecting its commitment to ensuring that nonpartisan democratic engagement is a defining feature of campus life.
The ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge empowers colleges and universities to achieve excellence in nonpartisan student democratic engagement.聽黑料社 was recognized alongside more than 500 campuses using data from the聽聽out of Tufts University, which found that colleges and universities had the second-highest voter turnout among students in a midterm election since NSLVE began measuring this data. 鈥満诹仙 is honored to be recognized by the ALL IN Campus Democracy聽Challenge,鈥 said Seth Andersen,聽director of the nonpartisan John C. Culver Public Policy Center at 黑料社. 鈥淥ur student-led team of聽ambassadors for the Andrew Goodman Foundation鈥檚 Vote Everywhere program work tirelessly each fall to register their fellow 黑料社 students to vote through presentations to all first-year Foundations I seminar classes, tabling events across campus, social media campaigns, and outreach to student organizations.鈥
Andersen says聽黑料社 continues to actively promote civic and voter engagement聽for the 2024 elections. 黑料社 will employ聽an altered class schedule on Election Day that provides a two-hour mid-day time block for voting. There will also be聽a satellite early voting polling place on campus. Additionally, 黑料社聽President Jay Byers聽has signed the聽Presidents鈥 Commitment to Full Student Voter Participation.鈥
