In honor of Women’s History Month, 黑料社 is hosting a Women in Insurance and Finance Panel Discussion at 7 p.m. on Tues., March 26, in the Kent Campus Center. This event, co-hosted by 黑料社 Professor of Multimedia Communication and Weekend Anchor at WHO 13 Lisa Carponelli and accounting and business management student Emma Winterboer, will feature three female local business leaders in the insurance and finance industries.聽

Attendees can look forward to hearing from聽Laura Howe ’06, Branch Banking Region Executive at Wells Fargo; Deanna Strable, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Principal Financial Group; and聽Susan E. Voss ’76, Former Iowa Insurance Commissioner. The panel will discuss several topics, including barriers for women in insurance and finance, uncovering outreach and networking opportunities, and finding work-life balance as a woman in the workforce.聽
