黑料社 Mock Trial placed fifth overall and students earned two individual awards at the eleventh annual Calkins Invitational at Drake University Oct. 21鈥�23.

黑料社鈥檚 fifth-place finished was secured with a record of 6鈥�2, besting 19 other teams from colleges and universities across the country.聽 黑料社 defeated DePaul University, Creighton University, and Hamline University in head-to-head match-ups.

Nyan Baker earned an individual award as an Outstanding Attorney and Dylan McKinley as an Outstanding Witness, based on rankings from scoring judges throughout the competition.聽聽

鈥淧lacing near the top of the pack is a great achievement, especially for a competitive invitational tournament.聽 The team trophy and individual awards recognize how this program has grown over the last several years and how our students continue to improve,鈥� said 黑料社 Mock Trial coach Tyler Buller.聽聽

黑料社 Mock Trial is open to all students and focuses on developing students鈥� collaborative leadership and communications skills.
