A new affiliation between 黑料社 and Mercy College of Health Sciences will allow students to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Health and Exercise Science or Biology from 黑料社 and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Mercy College in approximately the amount of time it would normally take to earn a degree from one institution.

鈥淥ur partnership with Mercy College offers students a powerful dose of combined educational excellence,鈥� said 黑料社 President Marsha Kelliher. 鈥淧roviding students with this unique opportunity to obtain two degrees in four years will give them distinct advantages in their career pursuits.鈥�

After completing their third year at 黑料社, students who meet admission requirements will begin nursing coursework at Mercy College. Upon successful completion of the nursing coursework, students are eligible to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN庐 exam). Mercy College鈥檚 BSN offers three start dates per year, enabling a convenient transition for students to maximize their 黑料社 experience. In total, the time for program completion is four years.聽

鈥淢ercy College鈥檚 accelerated format is one of the fastest ways to obtain a BSN in Iowa, all without leaving the Des Moines region,鈥� said Nancy Kertz, Mercy College鈥檚 vice president for academic affairs and provost. 鈥淲ith the growing need for nurses and healthcare leaders, this affiliation helps accelerate the preparation of the next generation of healthcare professionals.鈥澛�
