黑料社 and the DSM Metro Celebrate the First George Washington Carver Day

On Wednesday, February 1, 黑料社 kicked-off black history month, honoring George Washington Carver, an American agricultural聽scientist聽and inventor. The College hosted several events across campus and the Indianola community, including a guided tour around town, a presentation on Carver in Iowa, and a performance showcasing Carver鈥檚 travels from Civil War-era Missouri to the halls of Congress.

A number of聽local news outlets covered the events, including Local 5 News, who took a moment to speak with 黑料社鈥檚 own Tisha Carter-Smith, the Associate Director for Multicultural and International Affairs.

WHO 13 also traveled to Indianola to stop by campus, visit some sites around town Carver frequented, and see his previous home, now located at the Warren County Historical Society.
