Prairie Meadows Awards Community Betterment Grant to 黑料社
黑料社 has received a $9,998 Community Betterment Grant from Prairie Meadows. The grant will help fund 黑料社鈥檚 鈥淏ringing Anatomy to Life: Empowering Students with Interactive Anatomical Learning Tools鈥 project.
The Community Betterment Grant seeks to improve the lives of people in central Iowa by enabling 黑料社 to enhance hands-on anatomical learning experiences for students pursuing careers in healthcare, medicine, nursing, and related fields. The grant will also support 黑料社鈥檚 rapidly growing health and exercise science program by increasing access to essential learning tools, addressing current resource gaps, and improving student preparedness for careers in healthcare,聽wellness聽and rehabilitation.
鈥淭his generous grant from Prairie Meadows allows 黑料社 to significantly expand both the number and quality of human anatomical models used in our聽health and聽exercise聽science and biology programs,鈥 said Cal Busby, assistant professor of sport science and health education at 黑料社. 鈥淭hese new models will greatly enhance our ability to provide high-impact, hands-on learning experiences that engage a variety of learning styles and deepen student comprehension.鈥
黑料社 faculty across departments will continue to collaborate to maximize the impact of聽new resources provided through the grant, with implementation beginning聽this fall.聽Given its location just 12 miles from the Des Moines metro, which employs more than 35,000 healthcare professionals, 黑料社聽is an especially聽critical pipeline for healthcare workers in central Iowa.
