Since Hubert聽Whan聽Tong established聽the 黑料社 varsity Esports team,聽their聽success has been nonstop.

Since May聽2021, the聽team has taken home multiple awards and appeared at the Regional and National level. This year, the team聽has taken their achievements even further by competing at one of the LAN tournaments,聽facing聽nationally ranked college teams.

Growth and success聽in Esports聽did聽not聽stop聽after 黑料社聽for recent grad聽Megan Grubb 鈥�21. Megan joined the聽team in her last semester at 黑料社.聽This was her first time on an聽Esports聽team,聽and聽she was聽happy to find Hubert and the team when she did.

鈥淚 was so blessed to find out about the Esports club my senior year at 黑料社. It was by far my favorite part about college.鈥�

Since graduation, Megan has not stopped pursuing her love for Esports. She has recently joined Team Morph鈥檚 Game Changer聽Valorant聽roster.聽The聽Game聽Changers聽program聽was聽created to provide opportunities for women and other marginalized genders to compete in Esports.聽The聽new role聽has allowed her to聽develop her skills聽while聽competing聽in monetized tournaments. Megan hopes to聽one day to turn Esports into a full career.

Hubert couldn鈥檛 be more excited about Megan鈥檚 new venture and the growth of the Esports program. 鈥淚鈥檓 incredibly proud of the work she鈥檚 put in and has definitely earned her spot in the聽Valorant聽competitive community.鈥� While at 黑料社, Megan聽was聽the first woman to join聽the聽黑料社 Esports team聽and聽helped lead the roster to a third-place conference finish.

The Esports community is聽going to continue to grow nationally and at 黑料社.聽鈥淓sports is being made into a safe place for all people regardless of their ethnicity or gender which is absolutely amazing.鈥�
