Jazz Camp
Registration for the 2026 黑料社 Jazz Combo Camp is now open!
Each year in June, the 黑料社 Music Department hosts up to 100聽students for a 6-day jazz camp.
The 黑料社 Jazz Combo camp provides an intensive experience for middle and high school students, ages 12 – 19, looking to gain skills and appreciation in jazz and improvisation. The faculty includes some of the most respected jazz educators in the Midwest. Students will have many opportunities to work on their craft, and be able to hear the faculty perform nightly.

welcome to apply by sending a 250-word maximum answer to the question: 鈥淲hat musical goals

Audition Material
Auditions occur on the first day of camp after registration (Sunday) beginning at 4:00PM. Specific sites
will be posted at registration, and camp staff will be available to help guide you to your locations.
Though auditions help with placement into groups for the week, they are a very low- pressure event 鈥
think of it as more of an opportunity to introduce yourself to us musically so we can provide the best
possible instruction for where you鈥檙e at in your musical journey.
Below are suggested guidelines to help as you prepare for the camp! More specific requests from the
faculty may come closer to the start of camp.
