Master of Arts in Criminal Justice
Become a more effective leader by gaining a greater understanding of the criminal and juvenile justice process and the causes and conditions that contribute to criminal behavior.
黑料社’s Master of Arts degree in Criminal Justice (MACJ) is designed to meet the educational needs of criminal justice professionals currently employed in the system and those seeking a career.
Students enrolled in 黑料社’s MACJ program will better understand the criminal and juvenile justice process, the causes and conditions contributing to criminal behavior, the relevant issues in law enforcement, administrative challenges, the adjudication process, and the correctional system. Social justice, fairness, and integrity in one’s professional responses to others are integral to 黑料社’s overall mission and will be consistent themes evident in MACJ coursework.
In pursuit of the mission of the program, the MACJ learning objectives are:
- To apply criminological and聽criminal justice聽theory to concrete situations.聽聽Rationale: effective policy development requires a theoretical application to deal with problematic situations constructively.
- Analyzing and interpreting criminological and criminal justice聽system data.聽聽Rationale:聽good policy decisions are dependent on critical thought and evidence-based evaluations.
- Formulate ethical responses to professional situations.聽Rationale: Ethical behavior in relationships with colleagues and the public, as well as ethical decision-making practices,聽are necessary to help ensure a just and fair聽criminal justice听蝉测蝉迟别尘.
